Just Swayin'

I made an art quilt from scratch. Designed it myself, made paper templates and pieced the top. The main fabrics were from a challenge from Cincinnati Modern Quilt Guild. The background fabric is from my stash. I freemotion quilted it on my Pfaff expression machine. Did a facing instead of binding. Included corner triangles for hanging. This is a 30" by 30" wall hanging.

Dahlia Delight

Ever since I quilted the Teal Dream Big Panel in 2019 blogged here, I wanted to quilt another one. I found this in our local "Seams Sew Easy" quilt shop, I brought it home and it sat in a drawer for about 2 years. I pulled it out and put it on a wall with tacks. Stayed on the wall for almost a year and finally in September 20, 2023, made a quilt sandwich and slowly quilted a little at a time. One petal a day was the goal, but completed quilting all the petals by the end of October 2023. In May of 2024, I faced the quilt and completed. I added a small butterfly applique on one of the petals. I am calling it Dahlia Delight.
 It measures 41.5" by 41.5"
This is picture heavy, not in any particular order.

All Petals Quilted

The butterflies add to the charm.
