Reversible Baby Shoes
I made these cute baby shoes following this tutorial here.
I used a cotton print for one side and a white fleece for the reversible. It was fun making it.

Pieced Backing
It was really nice to be back with the Creative Saturday group even if it is for a short time and I got to finish piecing this quilt back for the String of Pearls quilt. Carole has taken it with her to quilt it for me on her long-arm machine.

My First Sampler Quilt
I finally finished this 2012 BOM after almost a year. Quilted and bound using my Brother cs6000i sewing machine.
It is not perfect but lots of lessons learned (more on that later) throughout the process. Its a great feeling of accomplishment.

Boppy cover
I made this boppy cover in summer before my delivery. I have been taking pictures of this project to post, only last week I was able to get a picture that is good. Even these are not bright. I have to
More about the boppy cover. I messed up a few times before it came out okay. First I used the peach fabric from Annette Tatum's boho collection, but didn't leave enough seam allowance. The one inch seam allowance wasn't enough, I didn't have enough of that fabric to add. Luckily I had the green fabric of the same print. So I slashed the peach boppy cover and sewed strips of the green fabric to it. It didn't fit after these alterations. I really liked the look of the green and peach combination. So to make it work I added a bias strip on the inside curve of the cover, just like it was on the boppy itself . It worked and I am so glad I finished it just in time.
Here is the zippered back. If I decide to make another cover, to make it usable on both sides, I would add the zipper on the outside curve and not at the back. I got this idea from here http://www.sewlux.blogspot.com/2012/06/design-challenge-patchwork-boppy-cover.html
September and October blocks for the Sugar Block Club. I really like the color combination of the october block.

'String of Pearls' finished top
'String of Pearls' top finished for Christa's quilt along. I like the way it turned out, every stripe lined out good. I used Moda's 'Simply Color' fat quarters, black solid from Connecting Threads.com and Kona coal grey to make this top. Now I have to start working on a pieced back soon so I can start quilting or have it quilted. Planning to get it done by November, God Willing.

Made Pillows
I made this
dresdon pillow using the pattern from Craftsy's 2012 Block of the Month class. The pillow turned out real cute and ever since wanted to make more pillows. Finally last couple of days I just sat and sewed 2 more pillows, one chevron pattern from the same BOM series and a log cabin block pillow.

Mug Rugs at-last.
I have been wanting to sew mug rugs for a long time. Thanks to Carole from Creative Saturday Group organized an afternoon to sew mug-rugs and I used that opportunity to browse through pinterest and sewing blogs and whipped up these lovely mug rugs.

Rescued Oven Mitt and Potholder
Rescuing worn-out oven mitt and potholder
I have been using these potholder and oven mitt for years and they are pretty much ready to be thrown away. Since I had ton of scrap fabrics leftover from a quilt, I decided to cover these mitt and potholder.
